So, what should a parent do to best advocate for their child? I can tell you my answer:  Parents should become fully Informed, Empowered, and Prepared for their IEP meetings. In other words, ordinary parents should transform into IEP Parents.

Let me continue my story quickly to tell you what I did about this and how I can help you RIGHT NOW and FOREVER through these IEP school years! I soon realized then that the key to changing the negative IEP meeting experience lay in my understanding of the IEP meeting process and arming myself with knowledge about everything IEP. 

My determination to ensure a better future for my son, Spencer, sparked a journey of learning and discovery. If Spencer was returning to a new elementary school at the start of 1st grade, I knew I had to figure out this IEP meeting thing.  This way, I could have a better IEP meeting experience, ensuring Spencer got the care and education he deserved.  I immersed myself in understanding every facet of the IEP meeting process and the IEP.  I studied online, read books, spoke with professionals and other parents, and attended training programs.  Then, I crafted a system to prepare for my next IEP meeting, and what a difference it made!  Being prepared was everything! 

Fast-forward a few years to Spencer turning six and enrolling my son in 1st grade in a new school district. After using my new system and going into that IEP meeting completely prepared and feeling confident, I remember the therapist saying to me, "Wow! You were the most prepared parent that we've ever experienced! Could you imagine if ALL parents came in so prepared, what a difference that would make?"

That was when I realized that I had to share this system with every parent I could! Because this system that I created changed everything! Quite honestly, nothing else out there is a comprehensive IEP meeting prep program for parents like the one I made. I'm so glad to be able to share this IEP meeting prep system with you so you don't have to struggle as I did!

Drawing from my experiences and hardships, I spent countless hours refining and transitioning my successful IEP meeting prep system to an online platform.
